RSS a great tool!

Hey everyone,

I recently used the RRS through my google reader to subscribe to several blogs of fellow E-Learning Students. I found this was a great time saving tool and would recommend it to anyone who accesses several websites looking for new information.

For those who are unaware, an RRS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a tool that allows anyone with a Google or Bloglines account to keep track of new postings from Blogs or Websites that have an RRS feed, in one easy to access central location.

I found the navigation process to be very easy! All you have to do is set up and access a Google reader account, then simply click Subscribe and paste the URL for the website you like.

Every time a new blog is posted on that site, it will be sent to your account straight away! I really love being able to access several new blogs from one central location without sifting through the old blogs to find it, spending valuable time going from website to website. It allows all the new blogs to be kept organised in one central location, which teachers could use with educational blogs and sites to help them in the classroom with activities, new ideas, etc. Even the older students at schools could use this with research and study.

Comments and thoughts welcome :)

Carissa
